Recreation, Special Events, and City-Wide Maintenance
The Community Services Division includes the City maintenance program for facilities and properties and all recreation services. Specifically, the Department’s maintenance division is responsible for the upkeep of public parks, parkways and equestrian trails, flood control and other public facilities within the community.
Furthermore, the Community Services Division plans and coordinates a variety of recreational programs, including activities at the RHE Tennis Club, as well as such annual events as the Old-Fashioned City Celebration, The Hills Are Alive 10K/5K Run-5K Walk, Tracy Austin Doubles Tennis Tournament, and Peninsula Holiday Parade. Finally, the Department’s equestrian division operates the public riding rings, and sponsors a variety of equestrian-related activities throughout the year.
