PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Planning Commission of the City of Rolling Hills Estates will hold a public meeting in the Council Chamber at City Hall, 4045 Palos Verdes Drive North, Rolling Hills Estates, CA 90274, and will be live-streamed on the City’s website, www.rhe.city/agendas, to consider the following:

DESCRIPTION:          A request for a Neighborhood Compatibility Determination (NC-260078) to legalize existing unpermitted retaining walls and a Grading Permit (G-260079) for the import of more than 20 cubic yards of earth materials and for grading on a slope greater than 35%.

DESCRIPTION:          A request for approval of a one-year time extension (EPT-260081), as permitted under RHEMC 17.72.110.C.2, for entitlements approved under Planning Application No. PA-220190. The application included a Neighborhood Compatibility Determination (NC-220191) for the construction of a new 2,743 sq.ft. deck at the rear of the house, where a portion of the deck is detached and will be constructed on a hillside; and a Variance (V-220192), because the length of the deck exceeds 50% of the width of the lot.

Pursuant to Government Code section 36933(c), the following is a summary of an ordinance introduced on April 14, 2026, and scheduled for adoption on April 28, 2026 by the Rolling Hills Estates City Council. 

A certified copy of the full text of the ordinance is posted and available for review in the City Clerk’s Office at 4045 Palos Verdes Drive North, City of Rolling Hills Estates, California and on the City’s website at https://www.rollinghillsestates.gov/publicnotices. This ordinance will be effective on the 31st day following its adoption and after posting and publication as required by law.  

ORDINANCE NO. 761 

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROLLING HILLS ESTATES, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING AND RESTATING CHAPTER 13.08 (SEWER SERVICE SYSTEM) OF THE ROLLING HILLS ESTATES MUNICIPAL CODE 

This ordinance amends and restates Chapter 13.08 to the Rolling Hills Estates Municipal Code pertaining to the public sewer system owned by the City of Rolling Hills Estates, and operated and maintained by the Los Angeles County sewer maintenance district.  This ordinance adopts by reference the Los Angeles County sanitary sewer and industrial waste ordinance, codified as Division 2 of Title 20 of the Los Angeles County Code, including applicable fees and charges, except as revised by Chapter 13.08.
